Bookkeeper - Hybrid Opportunity

A leading real estate development company with a presence in Sydney, the Southern Highlands, and the Riverina is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to join their team. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, providing the perfect blend of work-life balance and career growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Company Accountant in preparing and updating development reports using pivot tables.
  • Approve ABA and BPay payments, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Assist with payroll tasks, including processing employee salaries and benefits.
  • Handle land tax reporting and liaise with relevant parties to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct annual reviews, prepare minutes, and handle ASIC-related tasks to maintain the company's regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports for quarterly BAS, providing valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Provide weekly agenda and reporting for the Director, ensuring they are informed and up-to-date on key financial matters.
Accounts Receivable Management:
  • Manage accounts for 16 entities in MYOB, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
  • Monthly invoicing for approximately 100 commercial tenants, including rent adjustments based on CPI or lease percentages.
  • Issue invoices for on-charges to commercial tenants and farm operations as directed.
  • Raise credit notes as needed to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage overdue payments and maintain tenant relationships to ensure a positive and professional experience.
  • Update and maintain the commercial tenant database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Reconcile monthly statements from external real estate agencies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in software such as Excel, Access, MYOB, and Xero to manage financial records and reports.
  • Knowledge of commercial leases, bank guarantees, and the Rental Bond Board to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage workloads with accountability, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy to maintain high-quality financial records.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and presentation skills to work effectively with the team and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
