**About the opportunity**:
Southern Cross University’s Faculty of Health is seeking a Research Fellow who will lead the coordination and implementation of research activities for the PREDICT Trial.

This research-focused role is funded by a NHMRC Partnership Grant and provides an early career researcher with the opportunity to develop/expand their track record, develop leadership capacity, and produce impactful research to support older adults and their family carers’ wellbeing and improve health care service delivery.

The role will be focused on the design, development, delivery and evaluation of a program of research that extends the successful applicant’s areas of interest/expertise, as well as strategically aligning with the aims of _RAISE (Resilient Ageing in Supportive Environments)._
- RAISE_ will bring together researchers, industry partners and lived experience experts who share an interest in, and commitment to, the wellbeing of older adults and their carers in diverse communities and supportive environments.

A core part of this postdoctoral role will be to develop research leadership skills within a program of research on the promotion of supporting partnerships with family carers to prevention delirium.

Your core responsibilities will include:

- Providing methodological, technical and practical assistance essential to meeting project deliverables
- Successfully coordinating the clinical and research teams involved in the PREDICT Trial to ensure accurate and efficient data collection, data analysis and publication of results.
- Supervision of HDR students leading to their timely completion.
- Undertaking knowledge translation activities
- Participating in relevant community and professional activities including attendance and presentations at seminars and/or conferences.
- Working across multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including liaise with high level health service executive.

**About you**:
You are passionate about research in health sciences and more specifically, you will have:

- PhD in a relevant field
- High level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate research outcomes to general audiences and via non-scientific media
- Experience in developing and maintaining strong working relationships with research partners and key stakeholders, for example, to facilitate the delivery of existing projects and/or develop new projects

**Salary and benefits**:

- Fixed term (36 Months)
- Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480 or remotely.
- Academic Level B. The base salary ranges from $110,611- $130,814 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $153,052.38.
