This exciting opportunity is for a Strategic Procurement Manager who will lead the procurement of goods and services firm-wide within a small team. The Procurement Team manages, negotiates, protects, and optimises the firm's investments in indirect goods and services, including enterprise digital solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, provide positive commercial outcomes in areas they may not yet have extensive experience in, or desire to learn. Key duties include:

  • Managing procurement activities primarily of indirect categories, ensuring alignment with strategic ambitions and compliance standards.
  • Risk-based supplier due diligence, negotiation of commercials and terms and conditions with new and existing suppliers.
  • Providing guidance and assistance to business owners in supplier management best practices, sourcing strategies, and negotiation.
  • Supporting strategic firm projects by managing key procurement activities and tenders, as required.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve and develop the firm's procurement practices, processes, and technology use.
  • Analysing category expenditure and providing insights to inform strategic sourcing opportunities and report on key metrics.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders at all levels to raise awareness and improve the procurement and supplier relationship management capability firm-wide.

The successful candidate will have 7+ years of procurement experience, including category management, leading and supporting tender processes, technology, and sourcing strategies. They will also possess strong Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills, with attention to detail, and PowerBI or similar reporting platform experience.

In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously, have significant business, commercial, and financial acumen, and be able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A genuine curiosity in process improvement and problem-solving, along with a passion for data, are essential qualities.

About the role

Estimated salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer flexible working options, a range of social, financial, and health benefits, including free gym membership.
