Job Summary:

Wood Plc is seeking a highly experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join our Operations business in Perth. This is a permanent role that will support deliverables for a significant brownfields engineering opportunity in the LNG industry.

About the Role:

This is a key position that will work across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, with a focus on design. The successful candidate will have prior Principal/Lead engineer level working experience in the Onshore LNG, Oil & Gas sectors within an EPCM engineering and maintenance project environment with onshore scope of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects for Onshore LNG and Oil & Gas facilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement engineering solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines and deliver results
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience as a Structural Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Experience in Onshore processing facilities and site surveying / scoping
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Experience in the use of relevant software packages (e.g. SACS, Staad Pro)
  • Experience in the use of API, AISC and ISO design codes
