Job Title:

Principal Structural Engineer

Job Summary:

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join our Operations business in Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the structural design and delivery of brownfield EPCM projects in the Onshore LNG and Oil & Gas sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the structural design and delivery of brownfield EPCM projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with relevant design codes and standards
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Prior experience in Onshore processing facilities and site surveying/scoping
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Experience in the use of relevant software packages (e.g., SACS, Staad Pro)
  • Experience in the use of API, AISC, and ISO design codes
