Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Electrolux. As a key member of our Research and Development team, you will be responsible for driving factory improvements and technical manufacturing departments through a strong showing of initiative and active participation in team activities.
Key Responsibilities- Process Improvement: Identify initial concepts for new processes or tooling, including design for equipment, costing, and production rates.
- Equipment Specifications: Prepare equipment specifications and capital expenditure requests for funding.
- Project Management: Manage outside contractors on implementation of projects.
- Manufacturing Optimization: Review methods of manufacturing to ensure the most economical approach is utilized.
- Plant Automation: Participate in the implementation of Plant Automation and Control.
- Safety and Risk Assessment: Review safety of equipment and systems and provide improvements based on risk assessments.
- Collaboration: Liaise with R&D and other departments throughout project phases for implementing new products in production.
- Problem-Solving: Involved with PFMEA process and use root cause analysis tools.
- Technical Support: Assist production on equipment or tooling issues and identify areas for improvement.
- Knowledge Sharing: Assist maintenance with technical information as required for processes or tooling.
- Leadership: Display role model behaviors, integrity, honesty, and keeping to commitments made.
- Team Player: Contribute to a positive morale of teams and individuals and provide support wherever necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement, including housekeeping and the maintenance of the Electrolux Manufacturing System through the use of EMS principles.
- Qualifications: A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Skills: Experience in Continuous Improvement and Automation, CAD design packages, pneumatics and/or hydraulics, assembly fixtures concepts and design, project management, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Language: Good use of the English language.
- Computer Literacy: Computer literacy in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
