About the Role

Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems Australia is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team that manages the Operations at Sunshine Truck Axle Assembly Plant and the Derrimut Aftermarket Distribution Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, purchase, and implement changes to manufacturing equipment and systems while leading and collaborating with teams.
  • Manage specific projects to develop and implement all aspects of manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business objectives, and product specifications.
  • Apply manufacturing principles and practices to enhance equipment and processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by utilizing relevant tools, adhering to Cummins standards, and developing manufacturing standards and working methods.
  • Communicate effectively with and influence key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional team members.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources on project assignments.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as applied to Cummins.
Requirements
  • University or a College degree in Engineering is required.
  • 5 plus years of experience in the field of industrial engineering and or process planning in the production environment preferable.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process development and project engineering will be preferred.
