Career Opportunity: Meat Department Leader
We are seeking a motivated and hard-working leader to join our Head Office store in Rochedale as the new Meat Department Manager. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, and conducting stock takes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified butchery professional to take their career to the next level and make a real impact in a dynamic and fast-paced supermarket environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team, ensuring effective communication and leadership skills.
- Create and manage rosters, taking into account employee availability and business needs.
- Generate accurate orders, controlling costs and ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock takes, maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Work collaboratively with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
- Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential).
- Fresh food retail knowledge is desired.
- Strong leadership and delegation skills.
- Ability to order and control costs.
- An excellent understanding of gross profit calculations.
- Accurate team rostering.
- Passion and enthusiasm, with a very 'hands-on' approach.
- Unparalleled commitment to customer service.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to liaise with both team members and management.
- A flair for merchandising.
- Strong leadership and delegation skills.
- Ability to coach, train, and performance manage teams.
- Commitment to work health and safety standards.
