Job Description: Senior Meat Department ManagerSalary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team as a Senior Meat Department Manager at our Rochedale store.
As a key member of the store management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, and completing stock takes.
You will work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a small team of meat department staff
- Create and implement effective rostering and scheduling systems
- Generate and manage orders, including procurement and stock control
- Conduct regular stock takes and ensure accurate inventory management
- Maintain high standards of food safety and quality, adhering to company policies and procedures
- Work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
In addition to your leadership skills, you will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both team members and management.
Requirements and Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- An Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)
- Fresh food retail knowledge is desired
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Ability to order and control costs
- An excellent understanding of gross profit calculations
- Accurate team rostering
- Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
- Unparalleled commitment to customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to liaise with both team members and management
- A flair for merchandising
