Procurement Specialist Role

The Procurement Specialist is a key contributor to the successful delivery of projects. They play a vital role in the procurement process, responsible for all phases of subcontract administration.

This position requires a skilled professional with expertise in purchasing/subcontracts, analytical reasoning, and experience working with government solicitations.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualify Suppliers and Maintain Accurate Files: Ensure timely and compliant contract administration processes are followed, maintain organized records, and issue requests for proposals as needed.
  • Evaluate Proposals and Quotations: Conduct comprehensive price analysis and negotiate subcontract agreements, including terms and conditions.
  • Lead Negotiations and Manage Close-Out Procedures: Collaborate with stakeholders to drive successful procurements, manage contract risks, and ensure efficient close-out procedures.
  • Monitor and Maintain POs/Subcontracts: Effectively utilize purchasing systems to track and manage procurement actions, perform peer reviews of procurement files, and identify potential risks.

Key Requirements:

  • 1-5 Years of Purchasing/Subcontracts Experience: Possess relevant industry knowledge, analytical reasoning skills, and experience working with government solicitations.
  • Strong Communication and Coordination Skills: Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and external partners to drive successful procurements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Deltek Systems: Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Project, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Security Clearance: Candidates must possess a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance or an Australian TS/PV clearance.
