Job Overview

The Subcontracts Administrator will be responsible for all phases of subcontract administration, including qualifying suppliers, maintaining subcontract files and issuing requests for proposals.

This role requires a high degree of organizational skill, as well as excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive RFP/RFQ packages to solicit bids from qualified suppliers.
  • Evaluate proposals and quotations to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Conduct thorough price analysis and negotiate subcontracts with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders and subcontracts, and monitor procurement actions in the purchasing system.
  • Perform peer reviews of procurement files to maintain compliance with contract performance standards.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks through proactive monitoring and reporting.
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or subcontract administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to interpret policies and regulations.
  • Effective communication and coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Experience mitigating contractual and procurement risks, ensuring FAR and DFARS compliance.
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven success in subcontract discussions.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Project).
