Health and Safety Professional

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to our clients across various sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional advice and support to clients to promote a positive safety culture.
- Maintain risk/hazard registers for all facilities and ensure a consistent approach to risk management.
- Facilitate the reporting and recording of incidents, hazards, and near misses, and conduct incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site visits to interact with management teams and workforces to assess processes, risk management, and safety behaviors.
- Assist in the implementation, review, and maintenance of the Operational Integrity Management System.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety (degree or postgraduate qualification).
- Current qualifications in Training and Assessment.
- Qualifications in incident investigation techniques (ICAM or similar).
- Lead Auditor qualification in either Health and Safety or Quality.
- A sound knowledge of the Australian Work Health and Safety Legal Framework.
- Extensive experience with the development, management, and implementation of a Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001).
- Knowledge and experience in Health and Safety risk management principles and Emergency Management.
- Knowledge and experience in laboratory safety (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience in a similar position with multi-business activity.
- Intermediate to advanced level of computer skills.
- Current Driving Licence.
