Health and Safety Professional

SGS Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating hazards and risks.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and provide recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of health and safety within the organization.
- Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or a related field.
- Current qualifications in Training and Assessment.
- Qualifications in incident investigation techniques (ICAM or similar).
- Lead Auditor qualification in either Health and Safety or Quality.
- A sound knowledge of the Australian Work Health and Safety Legal Framework.
- Extensive experience with the development, management, and implementation of a Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001).
- Knowledge and experience in Health and Safety risk management principles and Emergency Management.
- Knowledge and experience in laboratory safety (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience in a similar position with multi-business activity.
- Intermediate to advanced level of computer skills.
- Have a current Driving Licence.
