Health and Safety Professional

SGS is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our dynamic team in Notting Hill. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing professional advice and support to multiple business units across various sites.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with management teams and workforce to promote a positive safety culture and ensure effective incident investigation and reporting.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of incidents, hazards, and near misses.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with health and safety management systems.
- Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety (degree or postgraduate qualification).
- Current qualifications in Training and Assessment.
- Qualifications in incident investigation techniques (ICAM or similar).
- Lead Auditor qualification in either Health and Safety or Quality.
- A sound knowledge of the Australian Work Health and Safety Legal Framework.
- Extensive experience with the development, management, and implementation of a Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001).
- Knowledge and experience in Health and Safety risk management principles and Emergency Management.
- Knowledge and experience in laboratory safety (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience in a similar position with multi-business activity.
- Intermediate to advanced level of computer skills.
- Current Driving Licence.
