Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Risk and Compliance Expert to join our team as a Business Resilience Specialist. This role is responsible for enhancing TAL's Business Continuity capabilities through strategic analysis and planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist key representatives within the Business to develop and maintain TAL's Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Plan documentation in accordance with APS 230 (e.g., impact tolerance levels).
  • Collaborate with Technology and Business representatives to refine developed process maps and related dependencies (e.g., applications, third parties, other teams, and key personnel).
  • Strengthen TAL's Business Continuity practices by identifying potential disruption scenarios relevant to TAL's business and developing workaround/recovery strategies.
  • Serve as a Business Continuity and Crisis Management liaison, facilitating information sharing and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • A strong understanding of APRA regulations, particularly CPS 230, and their application to Critical Operations, tolerance levels, and Business Continuity practices.
  • Ability to review, challenge, and work with the Business to develop pragmatic solutions for refining impact tolerance levels.
  • Business analysis skills, including process mapping, dependency identification, and stakeholder management.
  • A deep understanding of Business Continuity, Resilience Management Frameworks, and internal control frameworks, as well as their relationship to IT Service Continuity (Disaster Recovery) practices.
  • Proven stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiating skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong autonomy and ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with the life insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress activities calmly.
