
Nursing Unit Manager in Intensive Care

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and manage a nursing unit in a critical care environment. As the Nursing Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

As the leader of the unit, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and coordinating the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Monitoring and improving unit performance, including quality, safety, and efficiency metrics.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
- Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Providing guidance and support to staff members to help them meet their professional development goals.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:
- CURRENT NURSING/MIDWIFERY REGISTRATION WITH AHPRA.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written, verbal communication skills, and ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict.
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services in the critical care environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing and/or health management with a minimum of three years post-graduate experience.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, coach, mentor, encourage, and guide others to enable them to reach their full potential and adapt to ongoing change within a multidisciplinary group with broad clinical experience and knowledge.
