Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pathology Specimen Collector to join our team. As a specimen collector, you will be responsible for collecting biological specimens from patients in a safe and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently at times. You will also need to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

  • Collect biological specimens (blood, urine, etc.) from patients.
  • Ensure all samples are labelled and processed according to established protocols.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and address any concerns or questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the collection area.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
Requirements

Successful candidates will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Customer service experience with a focus on patient care.
  • Previous experience working in the health, aged care or community sectors.
  • A Certificate III in Pathology Specimen Collection or equivalent qualification.
  • Efficient time management and problem-solving skills.
  • A willingness to learn new things and enjoy variety within their role.
