Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pathology Collection Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting biological specimens from patients in a safe and professional manner. You will also ensure that all samples are labelled and processed according to established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect biological specimens from patients in a safe and professional manner
- Ensure all samples are labelled and processed according to established protocols
- Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the collection area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in the health, aged care or community sectors
- A Certificate III in Pathology Specimen Collection (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The confidence to work independently, sometimes in solo collection centres
- Efficient time management and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to learn new things and enjoy variety within their role
- A First Aid Certificate
