About the Role

Vendito is seeking an experienced Industrial Lighting Business Development Manager to join their team. As a key member of the sales team, you will be instrumental in forging and nurturing customer relationships, uncovering new business opportunities, and championing cutting-edge lighting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with electrical contractors, architects, and key project stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and growth.
  • Seek out and secure new project opportunities within the commercial and industrial sectors, leveraging your industry expertise and network to drive results.
  • Devise strategies to expand existing accounts, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with senior management to formulate and implement sales strategies, providing regular sales forecasts and managing your sales pipeline.
  • Offer valuable market insights to the sales and marketing teams to refine product offerings and promotional strategies.
  • Support and guide the internal lighting design and sales support team to ensure seamless collaboration and execution.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to build relationships and drive business growth.
  • A strong understanding of all product and compliance standards is essential for this role.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development within the lighting or electrical industry, with a strong understanding of industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Extensive understanding of lighting solutions, capable of discussing technical details with clients and providing expert advice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities, manage projects, and develop actionable plans to drive business results.
  • Proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach, thriving in a team environment and willing to support and guide colleagues as needed.
  • Independent worker with the ability to manage a sales territory with minimal supervision, while also being flexible and responsive to changing market conditions and client needs.
  • Strong time management skills, able to prioritise key activities effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with CRM systems and other sales-related software, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Will travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events, with a strong focus on building relationships and driving business growth.
