Family Support Practitioner Job Summary

Join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to providing support and guidance to families in their homes and communities. As a Family Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in helping families build resilience, improve relationships, and enhance overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement evidence-based interventions, including parenting strategies and practical life skills coaching.
  • Support families to access community resources, education, and employment pathways.
  • Conduct home visits and engage in early intervention strategies to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Work alongside Child Safety and other government and community stakeholders to deliver wrap-around support.
  • Complete documentation and case notes in line with legislative and organisational requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse populations and backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant frameworks and models (e.g. Circle of Security, Parents under Pressure).
