About the Role

As the Northern Land Council seeks to support Indigenous economic development and activities on homeland communities, a dedicated Reporting & Compliance Officer is required to join our team.

This critical position will oversee all compliance and reporting functions related to the Indigenous Economic Stimulus Package. The successful candidate will ensure the NLC meets its funding obligations by handling application assessments, funding agreements review, managing compliance documents, and preparing accurate reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage funding applications and ensure compliance with grants
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports using MS Office suites
  • Monitor funding agreements to ensure outcomes are met
  • Utilize SAGE software, if applicable
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in compliance and reporting, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements. A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. The candidate should also have:

  • Diploma-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, Compliance, Quality Auditing, or a related field
  • Minimum two years' experience in a similar role
  • Proven proficiency in MS Office and computerized financial systems
