SHEQ Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SHEQ Coordinator to join our team at Goodman Fielder. As a key member of our small, tight-knit facility, you will play a critical role in fostering a culture of excellence and maintaining the highest standards of safety, health, environmental sustainability, and quality assurance.

• Provide technical support to Site Operations to continuously reduce workplace injuries, illnesses, SH&E incidents, and environmental incidents;
• Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), Safety Management System (SMS), and Environmental Management System (EMS);
• Maintain and develop site-specific SHEQ plans and risk registers;
• Drive GMP awareness and adherence across site;
• Manage complaint investigations and address quality, food safety, and environmental issues;
• Oversee the implementation of corrective and preventative actions;
• Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, occupational health and safety, and environmental regulations;
• Manage and deploy mandatory employee training programs for safety and quality;
• Collaborate closely with all team members to integrate best practices into daily operations;
• Role Model and champion safety/quality across the site;

• Proven experience working in a safety or quality role, preferably in food manufacturing;
• Competence in relevant software applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and electronic mail applications;
• In-depth knowledge of workers compensation regulations and food safety standards, OHS &/or Environmental or Quality Auditing;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels;
• Proficient in personal time management, project management, with the ability to work under pressure;
• Skilled in investigation, problem solving, data analysis, and report writing (audit, incident);
• Ability to think strategically and drive continuous improvement;
• A growth mindset with a passion for delivering results quickly and effectively;
• Thrives in a small, collaborative work environment and enjoys being part of a close-knit team;
• Adaptable and willing to wear multiple hats as needed in a small site setting;
