Opportunity Summary

This role supports the livestock procurement strategy to meet current and future requirements while maximising value creation.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Livestock purchasing execution: Assist with supply, specification, and price targets.
  • Livestock program development: Support sales demand and customer expectations.
  • Logistics coordination: Ensure production schedules and targets are achieved.
  • Livestock liaison: Align procurement and scheduling with production planning.
  • Pricing trend analysis: Monitor, review, and report on livestock pricing trends.
  • Feedlot costing models: Support cost-effectiveness and transparency.
  • Record maintenance: Maintain accurate records within the Livestock Central system.
  • Stakeholder communication: Facilitate professional information flow between Livestock Procurement and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Meetings and forums: Participate in discussions related to livestock procurement and broader industry discussions.
  • Risk management: Identify and escalate potential risks or opportunities to the Head of Livestock.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong project planning, coordination, and task completion skills.

  • A high level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
