About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Maintenance Manager to join our team in Wetherill Park. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing both planned and unplanned maintenance activities across our plant facilities and equipment.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring smooth operations, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in reliability and efficiency. You will work closely with our engineering and projects teams to align on maintenance and engineering initiatives and develop strategies to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), plant reliability, and long-term asset performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, including inspections of critical equipment and execution of engineering improvement plans to enhance plant performance.
  • Serve as the key liaison between the plant and the corporate/regional engineering and projects teams to ensure alignment on maintenance and engineering initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies and programs to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), plant reliability, and long-term asset performance.
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring timely execution of maintenance tasks, optimization of spare parts inventory, and continuous reliability improvements.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and critical equipment inspection programs to ensure operational integrity and regulatory compliance including managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Track and manage maintenance KPIs, maintenance budgets, and ensure all activities are conducted within financial and operational guidelines while driving cost efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit capital investment proposals, including equipment design recommendations, layout optimization, cost justification, and overseeing the full implementation lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in plant or facilities maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred
  • Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Experience in working in a production environment focusing on safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Solid understanding of equipment reliability, maintenance systems, and safety compliance.
  • Experience managing contractors and maintenance teams in an operational environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative.
