Our organization is seeking a professional with expertise in occupational rehabilitation to work in the healthcare sector.

As a rehabilitation consultant, you will have the autonomy to manage your workload and collaborate with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.

The primary objective is to provide rehabilitation services to clients with diverse physical and psychological conditions, facilitating their return to health and employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Caseload management, including collaboration with rehabilitation assistants to alleviate administrative tasks.
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes for clients.
  • Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs in conjunction with employers and employees.
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical professionals, and allied healthcare providers.
  • Working across various schemes, including workers' compensation, compulsory third-party insurance, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veterans' Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Providing support to clients with injuries or health conditions to achieve return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes.
  • Conducting assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for clients.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or Social Work.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication skills and empathy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
