Mental Health Clinician

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our public hospital team in Regional Victoria. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and develop effective treatment plans that prioritize patient-centered care
  • Deliver high-quality interventions, including case management and structured therapeutic programs tailored to individual needs
  • Assess and manage risk to ensure a safe environment for consumers and staff
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes through seamless communication and coordination
  • Stay up-to-date with contemporary clinical practice standards and contribute to service development initiatives
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience working in Community Mental Health within an Australian healthcare setting
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing with current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated expertise in psychiatric assessment, clinical formulation, and recovery-oriented interventions
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment, crisis work, and care planning principles
