Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator with a background and training in Quantity Surveying to join our client's team. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the success of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimations, managing budgets effectively, and contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of the construction process.
Key Responsibilities- Leading the estimation process, utilising advanced quantity surveying techniques for accurate project cost assessments.
- Collaborating closely with design and construction teams to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Conducting detailed quantity take-offs and cost analyses for various construction projects.
- Utilising specialised knowledge in quantity surveying to provide insights into cost-effective solutions.
- Preparing comprehensive and competitive project bids and proposals.
- Staying abreast of industry trends, construction costs, and market conditions.
- Mentoring and guiding junior estimators, fostering professional development within the team.
- 5 years of work experience as a Senior Estimator with a background and training in quantity surveying on commercial/residential building projects.
- In-depth knowledge of quantity surveying techniques and methodologies.
- Proficient in cost estimation software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related field.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment.
