Job Title: Digital Innovation Specialist

The University of Sydney is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Digital Innovation Specialist. This role will be responsible for providing specialist technical and educational support to students and staff in using digital dental technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to students and staff in the use of digital dental technologies, including CAD/CAM design and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and deliver theoretical and practical teaching programs on digital workflows, focusing on removable and fixed prosthodontics.
  • Manage and maintain advanced digital equipment, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety protocols.
  • Assist students in designing and fabricating digital restorations, such as crowns, bridges, dentures, surgical guides, and splints.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of curriculum content and assessments aligned with the university's strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Dental Technology or a related field.
  • Advanced skills in digital dentistry, including proficiency with design software (3Shape, Exocad) and CAD/CAM manufacturing.
  • Excellent time and workload management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working with academic and clinical staff, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
