Senior Transport Infrastructure Flood Modelling Specialist

Flood modelling is a dynamic field that requires highly skilled professionals to deliver high-quality solutions for major transport infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities include leading and delivering surface water modelling, undertaking flood impact assessments and waterway assessments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate flood modelling and drainage design into large-scale infrastructure planning, preparing technical reports, managing project deliverables, and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, at least 10 years of experience in flood modelling and surface water engineering for transport infrastructure, demonstrated proficiency in tools like TUFLOW, WBNM, RORB, HEC-RAS, XP-RAFTS, 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC, and QGIS platforms, strong knowledge of ARR, TMR standards, and Austroads guidelines, and excellent communication skills.
In addition to the above qualifications, the ability to lead or contribute to flood impact assessments and waterway assessments for infrastructure planning and design, and being proactive with a solutions-focused mindset are highly valued.

The position requires the candidate to be based in Queensland and be eligible to apply for RPEQ registration.
