Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Flood Modeller to join our team.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flood modelling and surface water engineering for transport infrastructure.


This is a unique opportunity to work on some of Queensland's most significant road, rail, and civil infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver surface water modelling for major transport infrastructure projects.
  • Undertake flood impact assessments, waterway assessments, and surface water modelling.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate flood modelling and drainage design into large-scale infrastructure planning.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, manage project deliverables, and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • At least 10 years' experience in flood modelling and surface water engineering for transport infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in tools like TUFLOW, WBNM, RORB, HEC-RAS, XP-RAFTS, 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC, and QGIS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of ARR, TMR standards, and Austroads guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
  • RPEQ or eligibility to apply.
