Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network as a Community Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support services to clients in the Barossa/Gawler region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to clients, including showering, bathing, toileting/continence management, and personal hygiene
- Undertake household support tasks, such as vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and cleaning
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking
- Contribute to day centre activities, including transport, shopping assistance, and therapy services
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to achieve client-directed goals
Requirements
- Holding a current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to work autonomously in the community and perform under limited direction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and displaying empathy towards clients and their families
