Accounts Payable Officer

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality services and achieving efficiencies in our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Distribute daily mail, code invoices, and confirm bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Handle phone and email enquiries in a professional and efficient manner, liaising with the AP team as needed.
- Maintain and monitor accounts payable for designated clients, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Assist the Finance Administrator with client reporting and other ad-hoc tasks, providing a high level of customer service.
- Ensure void cheques are actioned according to finance guidelines, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a can-do attitude. Our ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role with a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including telephone, written, and in-person interactions.
- Intermediate level of competency in office products such as Word and Excel.
- The ability to 'own' responsibilities and processes, showing initiative and a willingness to learn.
- Experience contributing to a culture of inclusion and high performance.
