Leadership Opportunity

The position of Chairperson requires an experienced leader who can effectively govern and make strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks;
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance;
  • Oversee the implementation of financial management practices and internal audit processes;
  • Lead service reviews and performance measurement initiatives;
  • Collaborate with committee members, councillors, and staff to achieve organisational goals;

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be able to work independently, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Remuneration Package
  • Sitting fee for Independent Voting Chair - $2000 per meeting;
  • Reimbursement for use of private vehicle at the rate per kilometre as determined in the Local Government (State) Award; and
  • Accommodation expenses reimbursement for one night per meeting.
