Chairperson for Council's Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC)

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to lead our Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC) as Chairperson. This is a 4-year appointment with the potential for reappointment for one further term.

Job Description

The Chairperson will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance to the ARIC, ensuring effective governance and risk management practices across the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Compliance and risk management;
  • Fraud control and financial management;
  • Implementation of the strategic plan and delivery program;
  • Service reviews and performance measurement data collection;
  • Internal audit and governance;

Applicants should possess a strong track record in senior management, risk management, and governance, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
