About the Role

This challenging position involves leading technical aspects of a sales campaign by providing direct engagement with end-users. As a Territory Solutions Engineer, you will support partners and internal sales teams through in-depth industry and software knowledge.

You will collaborate with multiple internal sales teams, Technical Solutions Executives, and Autodesk Authorized Partner teams to provide pre-sales technical assistance. Your goal is to become a trusted advisor by uncovering customer business issues and suggesting improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate customer business objectives with technology offerings to deliver effective value messaging
  • Facilitate discovery workshops to uncover business issues, drivers, and initiatives, linking solutions to measurable outcomes
  • Communicate product features and benefits in pre-sales situations
  • Present products to prospective customers through engaging presentations
  • Ensure datasets are prepared correctly according to regional requirements
  • Support local user group meetings by participating in industry-related groups, activities may include presentations, panel discussions, and product demonstrations
  • Collaborate with internal departments to communicate regional requirements
  • Build strategic relationships with accounts and contribute to future sales opportunities
  • Serve as a Product/Workflow Evangelist, becoming an expert in the product ecosystem and communicating positive messaging to customers
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • At least 5+ years of relevant industry experience in Architecture or Structural disciplines
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills
  • Industry experience in Australian or New Zealand projects is desirable
  • Strong technical proficiency in one or more of the following: Revit, Advance Steel, Plant3D, or Navisworks
  • In-depth experience with building design software; knowledge of building performance analysis software is a plus
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Cloud solutions is desirable
  • Solid understanding of BIM-based workflows
  • Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of industry best practices, business processes, and technologies
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and marketing/sales professionals
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong track record of meeting deadlines and taking initiative
  • Excellent group facilitation skills
  • Willingness to work within the Australian time zone
  • Previous experience in technical sales is desirable, though individuals from non-sales backgrounds will also be considered
