Job Opportunity in Government Department

Fantastic labour hire opportunities exist within a unique and interesting section of the Government based in Canberra.

As a contractor, you will build relationships with Commonwealth and Local Councils while working as part of a friendly team.

The department seeks contractors to assist with the delivery of programs that deliver economic and employment opportunities for the region.

The team provides oversight and advice on program delivery, designs new services, develops and amends legislative frameworks, coordinates legal advice, and liaises with State and Commonwealth Governments.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Managing contracts with service providers and reviewing monthly reports
  • Implementing recommendations, including strategic discussions and evaluation
  • Preparing and coordinating correspondence, briefs, and other documents
  • Preparing ministerial correspondence
  • Providing input and oversight on key initiatives

To be shortlisted for interview, you will have:

  • Demonstrated skills in policy and/or programs
  • Familiarity with contract management/procurement and related processes
  • Research and problem-solving skills
  • Strong writing skills to brief on complex issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including engaging stakeholders and collaborating within the team
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills

A BASELINE security clearance is required.
