**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Advisory Specialist to join our team in Australian Parliament House, Canberra. As an Adviser to the Minister for Women, you will play a key role in shaping policy and providing strategic advice on gender equality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on policy priorities and complex issues related to gender-based violence.
  • Maintain strong relationships across government and with stakeholders to support the Government's priorities.
  • Analyse and prepare reports, papers, policy statements, briefing notes, and statistical information to inform policy initiatives.
  • Assist in developing policy initiatives and provide input into communications and political advice as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience advancing gender equality through policy/programming advice and/or implementation.
  • Experience addressing gender-based violence and related social policy issues.
  • Strong understanding of government processes and translating policy into practice.
  • Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and deliver quality work in a high-pressure environment.
