The Opportunity:
We're seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join our successful sales team in Melbourne. As a member of this team, you'll develop new business and expand key government accounts while working closely with our Partner team and distributor.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with a named list of government accounts in the Melbourne market, focusing on new business acquisition and developing existing business opportunities.
- Delivering outstanding sales results, consistently reaching forward-thinking license, support, and service revenue quotas.
- Partnering closely with customers as they embark on their Digital journey, leveraging cloud solutions to drive growth.
- Collaborating with different Splunkers to reach maximum account penetration through strategic account planning and opportunity management.
- Effectively reporting pipeline and forecasts to your Manager and APAC sales operations.
- Leveraging pricing and business terms to sell value to large commercial enterprises, engaging with various Splunk business areas.
- Working closely with sales engineering and professional services teams to position Splunk's offering in the market.
Requirements:
We need someone with considerable software selling experience in a B2B environment, extensive relationships within government accounts, and a strong background in running and developing a high activity 20+ account load.
You should be confident in building relationships and selling at the C-Suite level, have sound understanding of forecasting commitments and accuracy, and possess excellent time management, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
A meaningful software experience from one of the following sectors: IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, and/or analytics, is highly desirable.
