Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of plant and site equipment. They are responsible for overseeing routine equipment checks, quality inspections, and implementing a Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) plan.

Key responsibilities include analysing and improving plant equipment utilisation and procedures, identifying and resolving faults and breakdowns, managing maintenance activities, including repairs, upgrades, and stock control of supplies and spare parts.

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures compliance with health and safety legislation, including proper induction and training of external contractors. They supervise internal maintenance team and coordinate external contractors for specialised work, liaising with Project Manager, Team Manager, Team Leader, and EHS team regarding site requirements and maintenance needs.

They monitor maintenance costs and create purchase requisitions in SAP for maintenance requirements. Supporting the Site Manager in site projects and overall maintenance strategy is also an important aspect of this role.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in industrial/manufacturing environment with mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Qualified Electrical or Mechanical trade certification.
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schemes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in maintenance software and ERP systems.
