Technical Operations Specialist Role Overview

This is a role that combines technical expertise with business acumen, where you will support and maintain critical infrastructure systems. It is perfect for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, delivering high-quality solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide level 3 support and advanced troubleshooting across server infrastructure.
  • Maintain core platforms including Active Directory, Citrix, SQL Server, M365, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Deliver system upgrades, patching, hardware replacement, and software deployment.
  • Document processes and procedures to support continuity and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organisational standards.
  • Contribute technical expertise to infrastructure-related projects and initiatives.

As an experienced Infrastructure Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers and stakeholders across the business to deliver exceptional results.

Requirements:Skills and Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in senior infrastructure roles (with a degree in computer science or equivalent).
  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory (Group Policy, Sites and Services, Certification Authority, and PowerShell).
  • Experience designing and implementing infrastructure solutions including AD, file shares, Azure/M365, and server permissions with best practice security and redundancy.
  • Strong background in hybrid cloud (Azure, AWS) and SaaS integrations.
  • Expertise with Windows Server, Entra ID, M365, Citrix VDI, Intune, SCCM, and app packaging.
  • Familiarity with Mimecast, Papercut, and vulnerability management tools such as Qualys is an advantage.
