Job Title: Enterprise System Support Specialist

We are currently seeking a skilled IT professional to fill the role of Enterprise System Support Specialist.

This is a contract position based in Australia, with immediate commencement required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting critical infrastructure across legacy and modern systems within a high-availability environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer Oracle Solaris and Linux systems on SPARC M12, S7-series, and x86 hardware platforms.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot OS-level errors to ensure optimal uptime and usability.
  • Apply configuration updates and implement security hardening measures to maintain system integrity.
  • Optimise systems for maximum efficiency and provide testing and support for legacy platforms.
  • Deliver 24/7 operational monitoring and console support services.
  • Collaborate with third-party engineers to resolve onsite issues and perform changes as needed.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Proven experience in Oracle Solaris and Oracle Linux administration.
  • Strong understanding of SPARC and x86 platform operations, including Unix shell scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with system optimisation and legacy support methodologies.
  • Ability to monitor master consoles and respond to OS errors in a timely manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of SPARC Solaris/Oracle Linux administration, with proficiency in system troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications and Oracle technologies, with a focus on high availability and reliability.
