Data Centre Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams and delivering projects on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of site resources, labour and equipment is crucial for the success of our operations.
  • Compliance with all health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) requirements and policies is essential.
  • Co-ordination of day-to-day site activities including maintenance and submission of site documentation in accordance with our quality assurance system is vital.
  • Manage client expectations and concerns effectively by building strong relationships.
  • Train & develop junior staff and new technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Deliver projects on time and within allocated timeframe.
  • Actively contribute technical expertise within a team of professional, skilled installation technicians and apprentices.
  • Plan and forecast deliveries, purchasing, labour requirements to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and forecast hours against quoted hours and monitor job costs to optimise profitability.

Role Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead teams of technicians and apprentices to consistently deliver high-quality projects and service works.
  • Excellent customer service and attention to detail are essential for maintaining strong client relationships.
  • A high level of computer skills with proficiency in Word and Excel is required.
  • Minimum 7 years of industry experience (Electrical and/or Telecommunications) is necessary.
  • Experience within a Data Centre environment is highly desirable.
  • A current Electrical Licence; and/or ACMA Licence with endorsements of Structured cabling and Fibre Optics is mandatory.
  • Proactive attitude along with problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
