Flying Bark Productions has been a leading independent producer of family-focused animation entertainment for over 50 years, creating award-winning feature films and TV series.

We are seeking an experienced Rigging Artist to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a desire to push the boundaries of their work.

About the Role:

  • Create, revise, maintain and support rigged assets based on guidance from directors and supervisors.
  • Ensure that rigged assets meet industry standards and specifications with regard to appearance, aesthetics, user interface, performance, robustness and technical benchmarks.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in VFX/animation work.
  • A thorough understanding of controls and deformation principles.
  • Experience with rigging characters, set pieces and props through the animation pipeline.
  • Ability to provide support to users who utilize rigged assets.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Maya, Python and MEL.
  • Capacity to develop techniques and processes to solve rigging production challenges.
