The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding a team of animators to deliver high-quality animation for feature films. This role requires collaboration with animation supervisors and directors to develop choreography and performance strategies that meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with animation supervisors to create convincing performances and motion.
- Provide leadership and education to the animation team, including mentoring and support.
- Collaborate with animation supervisors to assign shots to animators and ensure all relevant reference is available.
- Solve creative and technical issues affecting animator performance.
- Work with the build department to ensure models are suitable for performance needs.
- Support animation supervisors in developing project schedules and delivering shots within those schedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 6+ years of CG experience, ideally in feature films.
- Prior experience leading teams.
- Ability to work directly with clients and directors.
- Problem-solving skills in 3-dimensional space, including accurate interpretation of 3D layouts and analysis of 3D form.
- Highly motivated and adaptable individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
