As a skilled Animator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality animation that brings characters and creatures to life. Working closely with our team of experienced professionals, you will contribute to the success of our projects by delivering exceptional results on time.

About the Role
  • Create believable animation with convincing performances and motion for digi-doubles, creatures, characters or rigid bodies within a highly productive pipeline.
  • Meet project deadlines and work collaboratively with the production team to achieve goals.
  • Collaborate with Animation Supervisors and fellow Animators to ensure high standards are met.
  • Support junior artists and mentor them in their development as animators.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our pipeline and propose methodologies to benefit the department.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in CG animation within high-end live action VFX feature films.
  • Able to solve complex visual and analytical problems in 3D space and interpret 3D layouts and form.
  • Thorough knowledge of Maya and ability to troubleshoot potential problems.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to showcase high-end VFX animation work, including hero creatures, hero digi-doubles and advanced performance with flying, bipedal and motion capture elements.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with realistic and stylised facial animation.
  • Proficiency in tool development using Python or MEL.
  • Experience shooting motion capture material using mocap suits.

Workplace Flexibility & Location

We value collaboration and connection - our ideal candidate is able to work from the office at least two days per week in Sydney. If not currently based in Sydney, relocation will be required to be eligible for this role.
