About the Role

The LAND121 Through Life Support team supports the Commonwealth of Australia in relation to delivered Logistic Vehicles. Reporting to the TLS Program Director, the Logistic Vehicle Materials Subject Matter Expert collaborates with stakeholders including internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

The Logistic Vehicle Materials Subject Matter Expert expects daily duties to include:

  • Developing obsolescence management strategies with key internal and external stakeholders;
  • Managing and maintaining spare parts and codification data in SAP, including technical and non-technical data;
  • Identifying, qualifying, and implementing domestic alternative vendors for spare parts;
  • Advising and collaborating with the TLS Program Director on systems, tools, and processes;
  • Providing technical support to supply chain specialists and maintainers, as well as inputs to engineering activities.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Key qualifications and experience for this role include:

  • Tertiary qualification in business or related field;
  • Detailed understanding of inventory management and planning;
  • In-depth understanding of engineering change impacts on material planning;
  • Experience with SAP;
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
