About this opportunity

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Student Midwives. This is an exciting chance to work in a dynamic environment and be part of a collaborative team culture.

Our Maternity Unit

This role involves working predominantly in our Maternity Unit, which is located at our Wodonga Campus. We facilitate up to 1700 births annually and seek individuals who are eager to develop their career in Midwifery.

Position Details

  • This is a 12-month program provided externally through Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga Campus, for students studying 0.8 EFT (4 days per week - paid)
  • Commonwealth Supported Places available
  • Part-time employment (3-4 days per week) while studying
  • Post Graduate Study Leave for mandatory residential school

Requirements

  • Committed to providing high-quality patient-centered care
  • Current Nursing and/or Midwifery Registration with APHRA
  • Compassionate, approachable, and able to build rapport with patients and staff
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • At least one year of acute experience
