Multidisciplinary Team Lead

This is a multidisciplinary leadership role that oversees the delivery of high-quality services to children, youth, and families in care. The successful candidate will provide operational oversight, mentoring, and practice leadership to ensure safe, inclusive, and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee intake, assessment, and care planning processes for optimal outcomes
- Supervise and mentor practitioners to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with families, carers, and external stakeholders to achieve positive results
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with child protection legislation and best practice guidelines
- Promote culturally safe services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through understanding and respect
- Contribute to continuous improvement and service innovation through data-driven decision making
- Participate in after-hours support as required, prioritizing the needs of our clients and community
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or related field to underpin professional practice
- At least 3 years' experience in child protection or youth/family services to develop expertise
- 1+ years' experience leading a team in a care or support setting to hone leadership skills
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and child development principles to inform practice
- Demonstrated understanding of child protection systems, including familiarity with relevant legislation
- Experience working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children, young people, families and communities to build trust and relationships
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills to drive positive change
- Ability to acquire and maintain current National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS)
