Pharmacist Role in Cancer Care

This is a permanent full-time opportunity to join our expert Pharmacy team at a hospital, where you will play a vital role in Cancer Care and Clinical Trials.

  • Deliver patient-centered pharmacy services within a multidisciplinary team, emphasizing medication safety and optimisation.
  • Perform clinical assessments, drug therapy monitoring, and offer patient-specific recommendations.
  • Compounding, dispensing and managing clinical trial drugs and supplies.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including project management, CRO partners, and internal staff for training implementation.
  • Implement clinical trial processes and procedures and efficiently prepare documentation to be used on Clinical trials.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent with current unconditional Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA.
  • High level of computer literacy including systems knowledge of CHARM, Merlin, and Microsoft Office.
  • You are team-oriented, enjoy collaboration and are passionate about providing specialised patient care.
  • Previous experience and/or formal study in cancer care and the ability to perform aseptic complex compounding is highly regarded.
  • Clinical Trials experience highly desirable, including knowledge of GMP, GCP, sterile compounding, and clean room work.

It is mandatory that you provide:

  • Proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
  • A national police check conducted within the last 12 months.
