Senior Financial Accountant Role

BINGO, a pioneering recycling and resource management company, is on an exciting growth trajectory. As we strive to revolutionize the waste management industry in Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact at our Head Office in Auburn, NSW. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing financial and management reporting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing efficiency across the board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end month process management, including group consolidation and senior management reporting
  • Process optimization and enhancement to drive increased efficiency
  • Monthly balance sheet account reconciliation
  • Accounting policy development and implementation to ensure robust financial governance
  • Additional financial control and policy development as needed
  • Operating results analysis and variance reporting from budget
  • Financial analysis and commentary for business partners
  • Junior staff management and coaching
  • Annual financial statements preparation and audit support
  • Closely collaborating with stakeholders on new accounting policies, documentation, and change implementations
  • Learning environment development through coaching and support
  • Process and system improvement initiatives
  • Regulatory compliance assurance
  • Participation in other projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
  • CPA or CA with 3-5 years post-qualification experience
  • Diverse financial accounting expertise across various policies, processes, and frameworks
  • Sound commercial input provision to businesses
  • Proficiency in multiple accounting tools and systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and Blackline (desired)
  • Enterprise-level ERP familiarity
  • Statutory accounts presentation and analysis
  • Effectively engaging with senior management
  • Small team management experience (desired)
  • Proven multitasking, prioritization, and deadline-driven work experience
  • Advanced Microsoft product proficiency, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

BINGO offers a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
